New PC Help

jond1122

Sorry for the Re upload just wanted to see if anyone else could help.

Hi, I am planning to do my first PC build. Right now i have a Hp laptop that is just not cutting it, although it it relatively new. I have a YouTube channel, and do gaming so i need something more powerful. Here is the components i am choosing for my first PC build. All i know about building PC's is from Linus Tech Tips, as well as other YouTubers. I have never done this so if you have any suggestions or tips please let me know!

Budget: Cheaper is better- anything under the $800-750 US range is good.

Any questions please ask!

SSD:  Samsung 850 PRO 128GB OR Cheapest SSD on amazon

Power Supply: Corsair CX600 CP-9020048-US 600W

Graphics Card: Gigabyte AMD R9 380 256 Bit GDDR5 4GB

Cooler: Either stock or the Cooler Master V8 GTS - High Performance CPU Cooler, please let me know which to go with.

CPU: AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core

Fans: Corsair Air Series SP120, or stock case fans

Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit

Possibly a hard drive:  1TB SATA-III

Motherboard: Gigabyte Motherboard GA-970A

Wifi Card, disk drive,

Is this all I will need? I already have a monitor (Hp Pavilion 22cw) so am i all set? I have not bought anything yet, but I plan to soon. Thanks!

Also is a soundcard necessary?

What do you think of this

asking me or others?

if its me i5-4460 out preforms the fx series in mostly every single game, also bulldozer is basically dead soooooooo

390 wil get you maxed out 1080p 60 fps with this processer. everything else isn't really a mandatory preformance hit, all good no problems, xfx is a trustworthy brand, gskill, nzxt, WD, ect.

Dont go with FX

The Architecture is bad, it dosen't even 8 core processers, they just sliced cores into more cores

The FX series are dead, they stop producing them....

What would you recommend for an AMD processor, or would you just go for Intel. I would like to go for AMD though.

Why do you want to go with AMD? thats the real question,

I am no fanboy i speak facts not bias

I've had both AMd and intel platforms,

Just because there are more cores does not= preformance

just because its expensive does not mean the cores are strong

at around the same price point the i5 beats the FX in 99.9% of games

I would like to go with an AMD because first I have a red and silver setup, and i am planning the same thing for the pc. I also have an AMD now and have had no issues (other than it's a laptop clocked at 2.1 GHz)

I also prefer AMD's and my friend prefers Intel, so we like to have fun debates as well.

going intel dosen't change your color scheme? cpu's are all the same color.. green and silver.....

if your tlaking about motherboard, ill try to find a black and red mobo

Also a overclocked FX will still be short of preformance on a i5 4460 on stock speeds

if you want to stay AMD go ahead, since you obviously don't want the best bang for your buck

Lol yeah. Basically its I5 vs FX for me. After i decide that i should be done. I have the case gpu and psu and everything else picked out. Some other people told me to change the psu so i did. No im going with the EVGA insted of the corsair. One more thing though. Do you have any suggestions for building a new PC. This is my first build, so any DO's or DON'Ts or tips and tricks. Also is a sound card necessary?
