RIP usb ports?

So I have my headset the Hyperx Cloud 2's. One day, the audio just went out and I couldn't hear anything. I then switched it over to another usb ports and it was fine. Then, that usb port stopped working to provide audio for my headset. I'm now using a port  on the back and that port is also starting to go out however it still works a majority of the time. What the f@#k is going on. Is my headset actually destroying my usb ports? 

 

EDIT: When I plug in this headset into the usb ports that stopped working for it they still weren't working

Have you tried plugging other devices, like flash drives, into your USB ports? Are your devices showing up in Device Manager and getting power? If they are then it just could be a faulty headset.
