After I get my 8350 and 990FX mobo, I'm thinking about getting a custom loop. The thing is, I have 2 questions.

1) I don't know what parts I should get, can someone make me a cheap custom loop list that only goes to my cpu?

2) Could I use the radiator from my H100 in this loop?

I need this to be as cheap as you can without completely compromising the durability.

Thanks for reading.

This.

The AIO loops cannot be modified (some can be, but are either really messy or come out badly), check EKWB, Bitspower, Alphacool, and FrozenCPU.com to buy the parts.

There are many more manufacturers and distributors then that. That's a very limited list. :S

How much money is "cheap"?

I just finished my custom loop, and all i can say is that it isn't really that cheap. But as i said when i got my RX360 kit from XS-PC i didn't want to settle for the cheaper ones. It's usually a one time buy and you can have it for years if treated right.

Can anyone recommend an AMD cpu block?

This is what I have currently:

CPU block

Pump

Radiator

Reservoir

Coolant

Biocide

Tubing

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 @ Stock, CPU cooler: Dark Rock 4, Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-M2 MAX, RAM: 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 @ 3000Mhz, GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 ACX 3.0, SSD: Crucial P1 1TB M.2 + 2x120GB SSDs, Case: Corsair 110R, PSU: Corsair TX650M, OS: Windows 10 64-bit.

  • That pump and res are not compatible.

Get Primochill Advanced LRT tubing

Pick whichever CPU block you think looks best. Temp differences are usually about 5C from best to worst.

You will need a biocide (silver kill coil or PT Nuke) and a corrosion inhibitor if you use plain water)

Good pump, don't buy coolant (especially not colored which you didn't do, good job) use plain distilled water from a grocery store, no need for biocide use a kill coil. Tubing is fine, I would probably go for 1/2 ID or 7/16 on 1/2 fittings but you should still be fine. Use any block really.

But he picked deionised water? :S

In the UK distilled water isn't sold everywhere. Its hard to get a hold of.

Okay, thanks. Do you know what reservoir would be compatible with that pump? Preferably from the SpecialTech website.

They are all inter-compatible. Get whatever fits your case.

It was a blanket statement, but I wasn't aware that distilled was hard to find in UK.

Over in murrica it's literally in every store that could sell you a bag of chips except for gas stations.

I thought you put rad instead of res, do you know what reservoir I could use?

Any tube or bay res that's not made for a pump attachment.
