minecraft + gtx 780 = barely used?

so i've noticed minecraft barely uses my gpu when i'm playing, and since i have shader and texture packs my fps basically nose dives, is there a mod or something so minecraft can use my gpu to use fullest.

that is a very powerful GPU and minecraft can run on a computer that is like 10 years old with integrated graphics. So i would say that would be normal

i do have a g sync monitor but i don't really want to use full screen, i might try turning g-sync windowed on for a bit.

it doesn't really rely on GPU, only thing GPU is doing is make some basic textures, Its all java so like 87% of the game is processed with the CPU so yea that's normal

its just sheer object quantity, its a monster for lower end cpus.
