PC runs like shit?!

So... I've just downloaded CPUID HWmonitor.. and my cpu is about 80°while idleing.. and in game about 105°!!! My PSU is still spinning as a crazy f@ck3r... So.. now I'm thinking about buying a new PSU and a H100i GTX since that was already part of the ''upgrade''... I'm hoping that will solve it.. any idea's?

Those temps are crazy high, exactly what I'd feared. Firstly, remove the CPU cooler. Apply some fresh thermal paste and remount the CPU cooler. Recheck temps. If that doesn't solve it, it might be time for a new CPU/Cooler/PSU, or maybe even a new rig.

I've already done that. Still 105 degrees in-game. I think i'm ordering the H100i GTX now and keep you posted. I hope that solves it. If not.. I'm buying a new PC.

Hello everybody!

First of all, sorry for my bad English. I'm from the Netherlands and English isn't one of the things i'm good at... :/

I'm having a problem with my custom built PC. Last week the fan of my PSU started spinning like crazy.. and now i can't game with more than 24 FPS! Not even in Minecraft! I think it has something to do with my cheap PSU that has worked for the past 2 years.. but now stopped working properly. So, before buying a new 130 euro PSU... i want to be sure the PSU is the problem. I also would like to hear from you guys, what do you recommend for a new PSU? I was looking at the RM750 from corsair. It's a bit overkill.. but i want to upgrade my PC pretty soon and that include's 2 GTX 970's :)

I hope you guys, can help me out.

Specs:

i5-3470 CPU

Coolermaster hyper 212

AsRock Extreme 4

8GB Corsair vengeance LP ddr3

GTX 760

MS-Tech 950watt

1TB wd green.

CoolerMaster CM690 ii advanced.

This might become my PC after the upgrade's:

i7-5930K

H100i GTX

MSI X99A Gaming 7

16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX ddr4-3200

MSI GTX 970 x2 in sli

Corsair RM750

1TB WD green

Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD

Corsair Air 540

And since i'm here... What do you think about this upgrade? Is it okay? Or would you change something?

I hope someone can help me!

Once again sorry for my English!

Thanks a lot!

lordy. you are going to a different chipset entirely. i would call that an overhaul rather than an upgrade.

anyways you can try this http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/power-supply-test-multimeter.htm
