Laptop not booting

Go to solution Solved by Nootey,

Well i somehow solved it by spaming shift +f8 :P

Hi!

So i have a laptop running windows 10 that doesn't boot, when its about to go the login screen it gets a bsod saying: system_thread_exception_not_handled and then reboots. I saw a topic on google on how to fix it but i need to get to safe mode. Now the thing is, f8 doesn't work and neither does the windows 10 repair (i've put it on usb and ran it) but i get a blue screen also so i can't even get to the repair screen, hence to safe mode.

Any help would be apriciated!

Hook up a USB keyboard and try again, I've had that issue with F keys

This might sound like a huge process but still it might work :P ..(u would need to remove the HDD..)so if ur  ready to do it carry on reading.. I used to have an old crappy lap which had a lot of important data but i wanted to sell the damn thing and i couldn't boot it.. so i removed the HDD and hooked it up to a SATA-USB converter and used my pc to remove all the data ... so if u can get a SATA-USB converter (it costs less than 5 dollars)u could retrieve all the data and format the HDD and put it back in the laptop and insert a USB and boot it and install windows from the first.. it sounds tiring but it might work ..all the best!!! :)

I was thinking about that :D But wouldn't it work if just plugged in the drive using a sata cable? I've done it already of a laptop from a freind and it worked. I'll go do that but then i have to format it and install everything again... Well i better get to it!
