Torch glass blowing?

I've been more and more interested in glass blowing lately for some reason and was wondering if anyone here actually did do glassblowing?

 

I'm a sucker for the look of flames really, and I love the accomplishment of making things with my hands that are of high quality and aesthetically pleasing. 

 

 

I know that you need a few things to get started being

 

Kiln, torch, oxy tank, propane tank, vent hood, glasses, and a few metal tools + glass

 

Now, I have an oxy tank and propane tank, and could easily fashion together a good vent hood, potentially I might even have a torch that works, but I am unsure at this point. If anyone could enlighten me on what torches are acceptable and which ones aren't that would be helpful. As for kiln I'm totally lost there also, as well as where to buy one.

I mean youll have to ask people who know this. Its a family tradition they dont like to give away their secrets.
