I did, I set the filter to 1440x2560 but 90% of those are just upscaled pictures or are using a bad compression.

Isn't much else you can do. You can find images higher than 2k, downscale them to 2560 height, re-edit the width to 1440, and save them as .png to overcome any compression. Otherwise, you can try subreddits like /r/VerticalWallpapers and /r/iWallpaper.

 

EDIT: (A little off-topic, but...) I just don't think 2k on a phone is necessary for many reasons including this topic.

I googled 1440x2560 and got heaps of sites.

Just go one by one until you find one with quality images.
