help choosing laptop

Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

i7 6500U is a dual-core low-voltage chip hence the "U"
i7 5700HQ is a quad-core soldered chip - hence the "H" and "Q" (for quad)

the R5 M230/240 is along the lines of a 820m/920m - 960m is a LOT more powerful

should I go for this with 6th gen I7 6500u and 4 gig radeon R5 which has 8 gigs of ram $699

or go with the 5th gen i7 5700hq and the 2gig 960m that has 12gigs of ram for 100 bucks more? $799
