Visa Checkout on Newegg?

Newegg recently posted a deal in which you can get $25 off (purchase over $200) with using Visa Checkout. I've never used this and I was wondering if it's easy to do, (givin the fact it wouldn't work with what I want because it includes a free gift) but is it a wallet feature like Paypal where you have to transfer money over to your account then wait or is it quick sign up and it automatically draws the money from said account when making a purchase.
