With XLR you can do many magical things such as get a pre amp, sound board, with usb its just using windows drivers. Depends what you are using it for? Headphones or Mic? Not to mention the build quality of XLR is god tier IMO

USB will provide plug and play for ease of use and some USB mics will offer exceptional sound for things like Youtube or Twitch.

However, if you are into audio like me, it's not enough. I recommend going XLR because you can run it through things like a mixer, EQ, etc to get a higher quality sound. With XLR you have quite a bit more control using a mixer and can easily up your gain if needed which is a feature a lot of plug and play USB microphones lack. You can also have a larger deployment of microphones being mixed all into one output for a larger group of people. After that, you can EQ it to get the right sound you're looking for.

Hope this helps!

Pretty much missed the point of the thread, buddy, the OP already has a mixer, which will be wasted if they get a USB mic.
