Hey everybody,

I've had my computer for over 3 years and recently it has shutting completely off without warning, as if I had pulled the plug on the computer. There are times where the computer can run without a hitch for the entire day. There are also days such as today where the computer shuts off consistently when I load a game for a few minutes.

I want to also mention that I have to wait a few minutes for my computer before I'm able to turn it on. When it initially crashes, unless I don't wait, the computer will turn shut off again once I hit the windows screen

I have tried to dust out my computer as much as I could and still no luck

I'm a bit of a computer newbie so I'm not sure if it can be a hardware or software. I am running Windows 7 currently. I am also sure that I have not tried to overclock anything so they are stock settings.

Here are my specs if anyone needs them:

AMD FX-8150 8-Core Processor

ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard

Corsair Vengance (2X8GB) DDR3

CoolerMaster GX 750W PSU

Gigabyte Radeon HD7850 2GB OC

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Might be a bad PSU, does all the lights on/inside the computer turn off as well?

Have you tried to take the cables out of the components and plugging them back in?

When the computer shuts down the light on both the PSU and the motherboard both stay on. Tried taking the cables out of the components with still no luck.
