I recently bought Corsair Dominator Platinum ram off of ebay. It's brand new and was a steal, but the issue I am having is it is 2133. I want to stick with AMD for budget purposes but not overclock. I now have ran into a issue where I can't find a motherboard with 2133 speed at a reasonable cost AM3+ Socket. Maybe you guys can help me find a Motherboard and CPU that I can get for reasonable cost. Any help would be appreciated.

So say I buy a board that says its max is 1866 speed. Will my 2133 work in it?

Yes. A lot of boards say they have a max speed of 1600Mhz or so, but it doesn't mean that can't go past that, it's just that it's the highest default speed.

Even if the board can't run the RAM past 1866MHz, the RAM can still be downclocked to make it work (should do that automatically, without you doing anything)

Thanks so much. So once I install the ram and start the computer it should set itself in the BIOS? Which will be good because the only thing I have ever installed is GPU's and HardDrives. Any suggestions on CPU's and Mobos? Preferably AMD AM3+. Also what is the difference between AM3+ and FM2+ series CPU's?
