If you can get the R9 380 4GB for around the same price that would be a much better value. 

As for the 960, go for the EVGA, you don't need the extra cooling on the G1 Gaming, silence will be much better.

hi its my first time building a PC and i'm in the process of picking a graphics card and the 960 is in my price range, so i was just wondering what card preforms better.

what is the price of the R9 380s in Auzzy?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
