Before I begin, current specs in description. Alright, so I'm 100% getting a r9 390 (either MSI 8G or Sapphire Nitro.) Aside from that what should be my next components to upgrade. The way I'm looking at it it goes like this: GPU > PSU > MOBO > CPU Cooler. If I get a 390 would my current CPU suffice? If not I do have a slightly older but completely unused Corsair TX850W. Also, what motherboard for decent future CPU overclocking, and I'm thinking h100i for a cooler? Anything helps, thanks :D

EDIT --- Yes I know the 4460 is locked, I'm talking later on when I pickup a 4770k/90k.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

You don't need to change much of anything, your CPU is only going to hold you back if you plan to get a 144hz display

If anything just get a solid 4k display for the future, or get a free-sync display

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

I was either going 1080p @ 144hz or 1440p 60. Either way the 390 should do alright and the most demanding thing I play is GTA V so I can't see the CPU holding me back much.

Spending too much on the GPU.

I don't see an SSD in this build, so it needs one.

Didn't realize when I first made that part list for you that the colors were white/blue.

idk how i feel about that PSU choice

Edit:

I chose the Gigabyte 390 cause it has a cool blue led on it, and it will perform relatively the same as the one chose, for a lower price tag.

The order in which you should buy the stuff...

1. GPU

2. Motherboard + SSD

3. Monitor

4. Speakers

5. PSU

6. *New CPU* 4790k + CPU Cooler

You need an SSD, but you kinda want to buy it at the same time as the new motherboard, because you're going to have to reinstall windows no matter what when you get a new motherboard.

Your PSUs should hold you good for a while, you are just going to be switching to a better/more reliable brand. The ones you have could be just fine though. #rollthedice

You don't need a CPU Cooler until you get a new CPU.

Ditch the speakers and get a free-sync display for $50 more

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-g2460pf

that cooler is also way overkill for a locked CPU

Otherwise looks fine, aside from the windows 10 part, win10 still seems to have a lot of issues, not to mention all the spyware stuff

Free-sync makes gameplay much smoother, even more so with a 144hz display, it's certainly worth the 50 dollars if you're already getting a 1080p 144hz display

as far as speakers go

Pretty sure free-sync is going to help you in either of those cases, and it's additional cost is minimal compared to your budget

Without freesync there are times when screen tearing can occur which may interrupt your ability to see something coming in CS:GO when you're moving the camera back and forth quickly, to fix this you could enable Vsync, but that introduces lag which you don't want.

in addition it can reduce input lag since you'll probably be running CS:GO at well above 144fps, in which case as soon as a frame is ready to be sent it'll show up on the display.
