Which specific model of Macbook Pro?  If it's a model with a HDD, might need to get it replaced.

My guess is that's Apple's version of the warning you would get from the BIOS when a hard drive isn't present (and of course thus can't boot, obviously)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

this

Turn it on and when you hear the startup sound, immediately press and hold the Command and R keys on your keyboard to boot to Recovery. Keep these two keys held down until you see an Apple logo or globe appear.

If prompted, select a Wi-Fi network to connect to the Internet as part of startup.

After the Recovery screen appears, click the Apple menu and choose Startup Disk.

Select your startup disk, then click Restart.

You can download OSX installation files and create a boot disk.  Obviously this requires using another OSX machine.  Or take it to an Apple store and get them to service it.

I have had Mac Mini's that have done that. I did a Force shutdown, wait for 30 seconds, then restart it. As said above, It is probably worth taking it in to the Genius Bar and let them figure it out.

You don't need a 2nd mac to do this. boot with cmd+option+r to boot to internet recovery.
