Hi, I'm building a budget pc for somebody and I just wanted to know your opinion on gpus that would suit this description best.

Currently I was thinking about these four but if you have any other suggestions then by all means share them. :)

nvidia:
750ti
660

amd:
hd7850
r7 260x

Also, what psu would be enough for a x4 860k and one of those gpus?
Thanks.

I'm an intel+nvidia guy (i5 and gtx 970) but like I said, it's not for me and that pc is supposed to run on low, maybe med therefore by looking at the benchmarks, the 960 will be overkill anyway for such build. And I forgot to mention, it will be played at 1366x760 which is also why 960 is not needed.

Anybody changed their mind now?:)

Thanks for the inputs and remember about the psu please. ;d

I mean, if you don't mind used, you could find a used 7950 for $90ish bucks?

Once again, I do mind used for myself but because it's not for me, it should be ok.

However, I can't seem to find one that would be worth it- http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xamd+7950.TRS0&_nkw=amd+7950&_sacat=0

And yes, I live in UK. Sorry, forgot to mention that as well. :P

That's fine but since it seems to be quite hard to get, what other options do I have? Or if none other than from what I mentioned, which one should I go with?

Thanks.

Don't make the mistake I made when buying a GPU. I bought an R7 260x and tbh, I'm not particularly happy with its performance, yes it's OK but I wish that I'd saved just a little bit more money and got something like an R9 380 which will give a lot better performance and will mean that you're not upgrading sooner rather than later.

Try to think long term instead of short term :)

I always try to think long term. Hopefully that 970 is going to last me a couple of years. Just like the 560ti did before that. :)

The thing with this one is that the person who I'm building the pc for doesn't really play much, only from time to time and as long as they will be able to get acceptable frame rates while playing e.g. bf4 from time to time (lowest settings 1366x760), I'm fine with that.

I'll try to get the hd 8750 or the 660 then, unless there are other options NOT from the list mentioned?

Thanks.
