Problems with CS:GO

Go to solution Solved by Xenift,

My ping in game from when I do notice is around 55-65 ping. However, i do notice that sometimes "loss" and "choke" raise randomly from 0% to 6%ish. What does that mean?

Means that 6% of the packets sent were dumped into oblivion.

This is a form of unreliable network service, mostly apparent when you surf the web over long areas and the link between them being weak.

I play with a ping of 5-10 stable, 0% because the server is literally 50km away from me. (Fiber as well :D)

The stuttering observed can be caused by the internet, the only way to clarify this is when you stutter in-game, look at the net graph and identify whether the loss goes up, or that your ping spikes up, both can be solved differently.

To solve packet loss, look for a better network connection such as maybe fiber optics, or perhaps a more expensive internet plan that focus on reliability.

OR

Look for servers within your region.

To solve random lag spikes, make sure that the spike is not caused by using a wireless network, if not then finding a better network supplier is in order.

Hello everyone,

When I first built this computer I was thinking of using it solely for the purpose of producing work. That didn't last that long because I wanted to play games and the k2200 graphics card that I had on it didn't give me the best casual gaming performance I wanted. I opted to install (in addition) a GTX 970 and use that as a top PCI slot and the k2200 at a lower one. However, after everything was done, when I went to play some CS:GO the game still had moments that were laggy/ game rubberbaning. This doesn't happen to any other game I play though. I also tried just using the GTX970 and the problem is still the same.

initially I thought it was driver issues, but even after uninstalling and reinstalling the newest drivers, the problem persisted. I heard that Nvidia Experience could be a problem, but I uninstalled and still the problem was there. Also tried to reinstall CS:GO, but nothing. I also heard it might be a memory sharing issues, but I am not sure how that works.

If anyone knows how to fix this issue it would be great help!

He tried that...

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

Hey Xenift,

Sorry for getting back to you so late. When I do lag in-game, the loss goes up, meaning it is possibly my network connection issue. I do have multiple people on the same network and the bandwidth could be running thin. However, I do think it is the network connection problem. I run an Ethernet cable right into my computer, but other members use wifi in my house at the same time. I am also considering that it might be dirty power going into the modem and router, which might vary the connection strength (maybe because of non-smooth power, i might be getting loss in-game). I have a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) on its way and will give it a try to see it by chance that might be the problem.
