Black friday is coming up and many tech sites are selling off a ton of monitors. Ive seen some good 1080p ASUS monitors go for $90<, so a couple or even 3 1080p monitor setup might be your way to go and you'll only spend maybe $250 and have 1: more real estate and 2: a equal to (2 1080's) or even greater resolution (3 1080's) than 1440p for a fraction of the cost.

I would go with 1080P instead of going 2560x1080 as not all games will support that resolution.

i could just run whatever games that wont run at that resolution at 1920 x 1080 though, right?

also these monitors are not any higher priced than regular 1080p monitors

1920x1080 is nice. Also take into consideration try not to go over 24" screen size for 1080p for best pixel density.

He's right though, 2560 x 1080 isn't really too widely supporeted
