So i have a pretty bad pc, with an r7 260x 1gb. However when I compare mine to seemingly identical system I can run my games way worse. I noted that all of those have the 2gb vram version and most have the OC edition. How much of a difference should that really make?

I noted I can get reasonable frame rates it just keeps studering and in msi afterburner the studders happen when my vram goes to its limit. So it reaches limit, freezes, vram lowers which is repeated over again each 5 seconds. Peetty unplayable.

Thanks in advance,

That13thGuy

Well that extra 1gb of vram and a higher clock speed does help quite a bit. Like a dual core cpu vs a quad core.

I can just try to sell the one I have right now and find a good deal on a better gpu of the same price point. I dont know if it's very smart. How ever it doesnt cost me as much as going for a way better, more expensive one.

1GB just isn't enough anymore. Most games have been over 1GB since 2012, some even earlier than that. 2GB is now the bare minimum for high/ultra settings 1080p. I wouldn't recommend anything under 4GB however, a lot of games are now far above the 2GB mark.

Yeah that would solve your problems. A 950 would be a good option or a 750ti if you can find it cheaper or the 280 or the 270x

I actually found 4 good deals on 6950's, one of them is offering it at 70 euros!!! All are the 2gb version. I have a small case though so i am not sure if it will fit. Do you know that average length?

You have to do the research yourself. Just google the exact model of the gpu and what dimensions your case supports
