8 MS too high?

Ghostay
Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

It's fine.

You're not going to notice a 0.008 second difference in the time it takes for a pixel to change colour.

Iv'e been looking at the dell U2515H monitor, it's IPS, is 25" and has a response time of 8MS, is this too high for gaming, will it be noticeable, can anybody who owns one comment on the response?

Cheers!

Are you playing a twitch shooter like CSGO? Then maybe look for something else.

Otherwise you will not notice a difference

8 ms is fine unless you play competitive games like csgo

but if youre mostly in to action adventure rpgs and the like you will have no problems

perhaps if you were a professional or pseudo professional csgo player, then maybe you could notice the difference between that and a sub 2ms monitor.

But if you're not, then its highly unlikely you will see any difference.

8ms is fine, 5ms and under seems to be ideal, but 8 won't make playing games a terrible experience by any stretch of the imagination

Basically if you find an 8ms monitor and you LOVE it but find a 4ms that you don't like as much then just go with the one you LOVE.

There are some people who are sensitive to(or paranoid over) ghosting.

Generally they are people who take competitive twitch fps games seriously.

I've read about people ditching the pg279q rog swift and going back to tn because the extra 3 ms response time annoyed them.

Whether they are crazy I can't say, but it's noticeable to them.
