Is this a fair compromise?

My mum and dad (the cheapskate Asians that they are dont understand that the rest of my peers get their tech for free, event hough my dad is a Senior GP). Well they have agreed to get me a OnePlus Two (out of my own bank account that my dad puts £100 a month for tech support) and a new iPad. Is this a fair compromise and would these last me until mid-2017

100 pounds a month, what are you complaining about. Also barely anyone I know gets their stuff for free, apart from birthday gifts of course.

Also, I don't see why a OnePlus Two wouldn't last 2 years. It's not exactly a bad phone, my dad has one and it seems pretty neat.

Well i am just jelly of my peers . And they dont let me use the money (its for "university" crap)

You're in the UK, you don't need a Uni fund do you? You just get a student loan.

Yeah, I know the feel of wanting shit, but most people here had to wait until they had jobs until they could get kickass stuff, to be a teenager and have a 980 with a 5820k, you're pretty lucky. I owned a GTX 560 ti and a q8300 for the longest time.

University is 100% worth it, but just get a student loan, then again having more money for uni is helpful

 

I dont see why a decent phone and iPad would not last 2 years, thats the length of most contracts so everyone normally uses the same phone for 2 years just fine
