Am I bottle necking?

Go to solution Solved by The Official Czex,

I recently bought a 390 gpu. I currently also have an i5 4690k as my cpu. Could I be bottle necking my 390 with my cpu? I currently have a CX600M corsair psu, so if I am bottle necking would I have enough power to overclock my cpu and or my gpu as well. (I have a cooler master evo 212 cooler on the cpu)

Thanks for the help!  :)

A 4690K won't bottleneck any GPU.

But you might want to switch out that PSU for something more reliable like an XFX or SeSonic one.

Would I have enough power to upgrade my cpu and or gpu??? or would the quality of the psu not allow me to overclock.

I would not recommend that PSU, regardless. It's terrible for gaming. Bad capacitors at a price.

You shouldn't be overclocking with that PSU, the CX series is made for office PCs and simple builds.(the heat tolerance is atrocious)

Does evga make good quality power supplies?

Some of them are good... As a rule of thumb, XFX power supplies are SeaSonic OEM' s; SeaSonic is on eof the most reputable PSU companies. Just go with one of those.
