Fallout 4 sound issue

hello everyone,

I have an issue with the output sound of fallout 4 when i hook up my alienware to a tv. I have an alienware 17 r2 with all the current updates (win 10) and i can play and hear all my games thru the tv except Fallout 4. I have checked right before launching the game that my tv is set as default playback device, and i can hear all the system sounds but the game sounds come out the laptop speakers. what am i doing wrong?
