looking for some better speakers

Hey 

I'm currently using the Logitech Z506 but I am only using them as if they are a 2.1 so im looking to get a 2.1 of a set of studio monitors.
I am currently thinging of getting

Logitech Z333 2.1 

Logitech Z623 2.1 

Mackie CR3 Powered Studio Monitors

 

thoughts or other suggestions?

If you are looking for studio monitors specifically then it's going to be expensive. A 2.1 system consists of a stereo set of speakers and a complementary subwoofer. Monitoring subwoofers are inherently expensive. You've posted the CR3s, so I assume you are willing to compromise. Looking for small monitors you have a variety of options at a similar price range.

 

If they're available in brisbane, you could get a decent amplifier along with some Wharfedale Diamond 9.0s - but this likely isn't available to you.

 

I'd go for either the Presonus Eris E5 or a pair of KRK Rokit RP5 G3s.

 

The CR3s you've posted will not at all make up for the lack of subwoofer if you're expecting the sub frequencies often afforded by a 2.1 setup.
