I bought a small lenovo pc with great specs used buit the psu is a tfx 240w random psu. I want to add a graphics card and a second drive.

The specs are

i5 4440,

8gb ram,

r5 235,

1tb 7200rpm hdd

dvd

a wireless card on the mobo which is lenovo.

I thought modding a 3d printed dc input like a laptop and use an external power supply like one on a laptop but i dont find any way to convert dc female or male to 6pin or 8pin pci.

An other option i found is a pico psu but they only have 20pins and 24 pins and i dont think the molex or sata cables can adapt to 6 or 8pin pci-e. Also i dont know how reliable they are.

I know i could just buy a 300w tfx psu but i dont want to throw away the included psu and i have a laptop psu i dont need about 120w which would be enough to power a 750ti and an ssd

with the included 240w psu.

It is a case that supports only tfx psu and i want to keep it.

There're good and inexpensive TFX PSUs provided by seasonic and BeQuiet... And even if your case is LP, there're LP 750 Tis that don't need aditional power connectors

EDIT: if your case is also single slot and you don't want to throw it I'd get a PCI-e riser and make it go out of the case before getting any product for eGPU to avoid bottlenecks

This is a signature.
