i7-2600 UPGRADE

So I just threw together a build with my current CPU. 

From my current rig I intend to take the 2TB Hard Drive, i7-2600 processor and the optical drive.

Is this build good enough to run most current gen games at 1080p 60fps?

Yep it will. That i7 is still a nice cpu and combined with a 380 it can do what you want it to do.

 

idk if you're on a budget but maybe take a look at the new 380x ?

My budget is around about the realm of $1000-$1700

If you still got some money left then you can look into a fury X or so. beast GPU

Pretty good, yeah. Having the same cpu and an r9 290 I can guarantee it will destroy 1080p.

What PSU would you reccomend?

Antec High Current Gamer 620M is a VERY solid SeaSonic PSU or the XFX TS 650W if you want. EVGA G2/GS are also well-priced. SeaSonic's own S12G/G-series are also top of the line and you get SeaSonic's fantastic customer support.

Seasonic is IMO the best PSU maker. If you can get the m12II EVO, or the ss-xp2 they are really nice. They also are the OEM for most of the Antec power supplies including the High current gamer(modular only.) The EVGA G2 and P2 are also good psu's made by Superflower. The GS/PS series are made by seasonic. Any of those would be fine for what you are doing.
