980Ti is faster when OC

 

Fury X is faster if compared with the ref 980Ti with latest driver

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

What would you recommend for my upgrade from and R9 Windforce

980Ti since you can afford that

That would run better with an intell I5 or I7 wouldn't it

stick to i5 unless you are into video editing

can't just ask which is better, we need to know if you using it for gaming, which games, editing, no editing, what kind of cpu, budget, preference of heat/sound/performance.

It's used for gaming and the budget is 1000 and not much editing and then I have an intell I5

EVGA or MSI one? Regardless - it should be better.

at 1440p or 4K unlikely - at 1080p yes

Of course - both the Fury X and 980 Ti are vastly superior at the moment than a 290
