Hi

I am just wondering what GPU is good enough for the games coming this fall? My budget is  ~270USD. My demands is a smooth gameplay with medium - high settings, And the power supply is 500W. Would a 7890 be enough?

7890?

I would say 7770/660 would be great cards if you aren't interested in maximizing visuals.

Other than that, a 7950/770/760 would be great.

Although, if you can wait a month or two, AMD's new cards could be coming out, so more discounts or you could get a better newer GPU.

Just throwing out suggestions.

No no no no no. Don't get anything until the new amd cards come out.

IMO it would be a waste of money to put close to 300 in a gpu right now.

My Rig: AMD FX-8350 @ 4.5 Ghz, Corsair H100i, Gigabyte gtx 770 4gb, 8 gb Patriot Viper 2133 mhz, Corsair C70 (Black), EVGA Supernova 750g Modular PSU, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard, Asus next gen wifi card.

I agree with him. Wait up and even if you wont buy new generation card the older (ex. 7950/7970)will be on discount to get rid of them from the shelfs.

I would go with a Sapphire 7950: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202026

since 7950 right now are very cheap and this card is a great card for overclocking. But I would personally get at least a 550W like a XFX Core 550W psu if you plan to overclock this card. Just make sure your power supply has 2x6pin connectors. What power supply are you using right now?

If you must have something now, I would grab a 7950.

Yep, and if you can wait a few days, find one on special (plenty of sites advertise special deals on GPU's) as you can get a decent 7950 for peanuts which overclock way past what other cards you can buy for the money...

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Thanks for all replies. I was thinking that a next gen card would be better then the current ones. ;)

So I'll save my money too afford the next gen.
