Any recommendations for a DAC?

Can anyone recommend a DAC with a microphone input? I have a MSI GT70 with a GTX 780m and the soundcard drivers are horrible for that system. An external microphone is too quiet even when all the boosts are at maximum. The speakers are just making a crackling sound. Any suggestion is welcome. Thank You in advance.
