Your problem for the keyboard and mouse is that they're in USB 3 and the drivers wont boot until you're into Windows. For the boot device either your SSD/HDD has died or isn't plugged in properly, there is no copy of windows on it, or the boot order is wrong (This includes your boot device not even being on there)

When i try boot i get a black screen as shown below. I also cant use my keyboard and mouse.

-PIC-

Is this a new build or just occurring suddenly?

Make sure the sata connections your your drives are seated all the way first, make sure your keyboard and mouse are on USB2.0 ports or PS/2.

Once you get your keyboard working try getting into the boot menu or BIOS to make sure your OS drive is showing up, if it's not check your connections to power and data. Right now it can't find any bootable drive with an OS on it.

Cant get my keyboard and mouse to work on any usb ports

I cant seem to get power to my keyboard and mouse

Hmm maybe try a different keyboard, theoretically USB 2.0 ports are legacy ports so they should always work.

The catch 22 of modern bioses: you need to activate usb legacy support so that they'll respond to your keyboard and mouse at boot-time, but you need them to respond to your keyboard so that you can turn your keyboard on ><

What happens if you use that port for your keyboard, it sounds like it might not like your keyboard during boot up, does your keyboard have small dip switches on it to work on compatibility mode some of the newer high end ones have that.

Got it off origin

Damn, are they still around? ;)

Well, sounds like it's time to get serious, but first:

  • Do you have 2nd system you can test your components with?
and
  • Do you have spare components you can test your system with, such as:

Power supply

Bootable device (hard drive, usb, CD/DVD with bottable media)

USB Keyboard/Mouse

Din plug keyboard (not common, but older mobos still have a plug for them)

Memory

Mobo

Folding For Linus since July 2015
