I am planning a pretty expensive build for my YouTube set up. It will cost 3000usd for everything including mouse and monitor etc. I was thinkin about buying some parts second hand.

I am considering buying second hand monitor (acer xb270hu ), mobo (x99 sabertooth), ram ( ddr4 2400 corsair LPX 4 x4gb) , ssd (dunno yet), hard drive ( 2 or 3 tb of wd black ), and the CPU (i7 5820k)

All I can say is make sure you 100% have a warranty (proof of purchase warranty stickers etc) and that you don't spend more than 60% of retail

For memory do a memtest

For motherboards test dimms and pcie slots USB ports and no bent pins

For GPU run fur mark

For monitor no dead pixels

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

SSD's and hard drives are better off brand new IMO

CPU: FX-6300 GPU: Sapphire R9 380X MOBO: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB PSU: XFX XTR 550W CASE: Zalman Z11 Plus SSD: Samsung 840 Evo

If you're going to buy second hand parts, never buy hard drives. They could be broke or have viruses on them (I hope not). You should only buy GPU's, Monitors, Perpherals or RAM. That's what I would do. (Make sure they work and have warranty).
