Its a video on Vessel atm, but it'll be up in youtube by next week.

consider grabbing a r9 380 instead of the 960 (except if the 960 is very cheap and/or you dont want shadowplay - I do use shadowplay so I stick to Nvidia, but price/performance alone, 380 beats 960 most of the time).

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Why is more going towards your motherboard rather than PSU and/or case?

Only one build here is under budget, and that is @RaptorCandy with a GTX 950.

MIR do not affect the purchase price, so if you have $70 in MIR, OP is spending that $70 to buy the rig.

$3 over budget, no rebates:

If that is the build you picked, you should probably learn more about components before you build a PC.  :(:)

Why?

Why?

You are over budget by $30.

You have an i3, and you paired it with a Z97 board.

Your case is old and does not support USB 3.0 on the front panel.

These are not terrible mistakes, but... I posted a build with an i5 + 380 2GB and I was at $553 before rebates.

What the heck?

1. I am $9 less than the budget

2. If you have a z97 board in the beginning, you could later get a k series processor like the i5 4690k and overclock it without problems.

3. The case doesn't matter for this budget. The motherboard has usb 3.0 ports at the back, so that should not be problem.

1.  You are wrong.  MIR do not make the build cost less.  You have $40 in MIR, that means the build costs $590 to actually buy.

2.  You assume that the OP will be spending $100's more.

3.  That case is offered at Microcenter, only pick up orders.
