Dead GTX 680?

Recently I've been experiencing strange lockups and freezing of my computer. Occasionally it will crash with weird artifacts all over the screen. It has crashed 4 time in the past week, usually looking like this before going black:

While the screen is frozen I'm still able to hear the audio for a few seconds before the entire system locks up and the screens go black.

 

I don't think it's related to the CPU or Motherboard as I just got a 4790K and Maximus VII formula about 3 months ago.

 

I've read that this can be caused by the powersupply or the graphics card, which do you think it is?

Smells like toast to me

its probably the GPU, what kind of PSU?
