Hi, guys! I've got an aging 8 years old laptop, it was the DELL Vostro 1400. I've been upgrading it's hardware along the past 3 years, but still Hardware gets new and new. I'm actually using this laptop now to write this Topic. Now I've been planing for 1 months for this build but I need your opinion about this one. I started with an Intel Core i3 then I realized that by choosing this processor, the rest of the money to buy a graphics card will be a little, so I went to choose AMD, I choose the FX 6300 but by choosing this processor I will have the possibility of rising electricity costs. So I looked on the Internet and I found the Athlon X4 860K. This Athlon is a good CPU, but the CPU only have Level 2 or L2 cache. By looking at the performance of Cache Level 3 or L3. I would prefer L3 Cache, I ran out of options but I looked at Austin Evans video on "The Best Budget Gaming GPU?" I looked at Intel Pentium G3258. This Pentium gave a pretty nice price with 3 MB of L3 Cache. So here is what I've done:

Intel Pentium G3258 (I don't plan on overclocking this CPU, so I'll use the stock CPU cooler).

Gigabyte G1 Sniper B6 (This motherboard got some M.2 Slot which will be awesome for some future upgrades)

VenomRX 8GB PC10600, 1333MHz Single Module (Yes, I know 1333MHz, very old RAM speed that almost no one will use it, but this is the best cheap RAM I could get for this build).

WDC Black 1 TB 64 Megabyte Cache, 7200RPM.

HIS R9 270X IceQ X2 MINI, 2GB GDDR5, Dual Fan (This is what you could expect from 500$ build :D)

Aerocool VP PRO 500W (Power Supply)

TP Link TL WN 781 ND (WLAN Card)

ASUS DVD-RW 24x SATA (ODD)

Dazumba D Vito 688 (Case)

That's all what I can get for now. Really looking forward to your opinion for this build cause I need a new Computer so bad. Sorry for my bad English tho, I'm not from USA or Canada or any other country that speak English. I'm from Indonesia.

Hmm... that motherboard tho, can somehow you take it to an ATX motherboard? Cause I will love to get some upgrade later when I need rather than just using a MicroATX motherboard that had a small chance of upgradeability.

I know. But still, chance of upgrade will be nice rather than just buy a new computer once the old computer cannot be upgraded due to the form factor of the motherboard. You probably will think me as a tree hugger that love using the old stuff rather than just dumping the old ones and get the newer one, it's okay I just love this to keep this Earth tidy as I can until it's started to fall apart.
