Computer Desk

I am planning to build a computer Desk, their a few things I want to do becouse I would also like to be able to use the desk for airbrushing and due to the fact that I want the computer to be completely hidden. I would like to mount the monitor on a retractable stand so it can lower out of sight so that 1 it is not visable and 2 so that it will not be damaged while I am using my airbrush. does anyone have any ideas on this?

So here is what I am thinking. When making the table add a section in the back that the monitor can go in to. Get a drawer runner, there are ones that hold like 50,100kg, and then mount your monitor to that. This runner will also be mounted to the box that sits behind the table. This means you can pull the monitor up when in use and push it down into the table when not.

 

This is a rough idea, you will need to elaborate on it. Some DIY mounting will be involved.
