A relative of mine bought an additional 16 gb ddr3 ram (I am not sure if they match his current set and are same frequency or not) bringing the total memory up to 32gb. Because he has Windows 7 home prem x64 which only supports half the amount of ram, he upgraded it to Professional, his computer runs epically slow. (has i7 2600k) The computer can detect the 32gb of ram. The computer crashes every now and then. His boot drive is an SSD, on Windows 7 home prem, it boots very fast but on professional it's like a 5400 rpm hdd. Would like some assistance before I help fix it.

16GB to 32GB won't improve system speed. Can they not put Win7 Pro on the SSD??? It sounds like they installed pro on a slower drive?

I would also check the memory, run memtest, also do a full fresh install of 7Pro on the SSD.
