Free Domain Service?

I am creating a website and the HTML and CSS is already done, and the website is complete, and I just need to put it on the interwebs. I have absolutely no idea how to do this. My friend recommended dot.tk but it didn't work for whatever reason, and I would prefer .com anyway

well, afaik .tk is the only free one that gives you a decent domain.

 

aside from that, theres many webhosting picks that cost mere cents per month. and buying your own domain isnt all too expensive either unless you want some fancy domain.

dot.tk worked fine for me, but they didn't want me to use it only as a mumble server dns so they took it away

something you could try, theres datacenters that offer a "one time payment" server hosting solution.

i'm not sure how they profit, but you basicly pay once, and the server is yours for "undefined time"
