Hi. This is my first build. I'm from Asia, so I can't make purchases from Newegg or PcPartPicker. Is this a good build since I'm in a tight budget? Are the components compatible with each other? Are there any other suggestions?

Thank you for taking your time reading this.

Check with the merchant to make sure that the motherboard has BIOS 0705 or later. Otherwise it will not work with the cpu until the BIOS is updated. It should not be a problem, but the check should be made.

I trust the memory is a dual channel 2x4GB kit. Hyper X Fury DDR3-1866 CL 10 2x4GB memory kits often sell for a price very close to the DDR3-1600 CL 10 kit. The 1866 kit would be a slightly better choice.

What other psu options do you have?

Unless the system will be housed in a very warm environment the Hyper 212X is not strictly necessary. The stock cooler will do a decent job.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I was considering on purchasing the DDR3-1866 memory. But isn't the performance not that different from 1600 kit?

About the PSU, is 500W enough? What brand do you recommend?

I'll be running the PC in a room without AC. So will the stock cooler be enough for that?

There is no significant performance difference between the two memory kits, especially in gaming. If it is only a matter of a couple of $, go for the slightly better performing memory. Not worth much more than that.

The issue is not the size of psu. Rather it is the quality. Seasonic models are mostly excellent. Superflower, EVGA, and Corsair all have quality models.

If you are located in a tropical part of Asia, the Hyper 212X would be a good idea.

I see. I'll go for the 1866 kit then.

I'll browse through other models. So is the 500w enough for the build?
