Hi I am a new recruit to the PC Master Race. I would really appreciate some help from anyone, here are my specs:

I'm going to guess that your budget is around 600, so you have 2 choices really, 860K + 390, or i5 4460 + 380

From this test you can see that an A8 7650K(basically the same as an 860K) paired with a 290x, actually ties with the i5 in a number of games and gets over 60fps, but generally speaking the i5 is faster and will net you higher average fps in games that utilize the CPU more, while the 390 will let you bump up the resolution and settings higher, and upgrading your CPU down the road, can cost less than upgrading your GPU.

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

It would help if the build was in a pcpartpicker.com list. Once you have built the list click the [bb] button at the top and copy & paste here.

How will the system be used?

What is the budget?

750W is way beyond overkill for a GTX 960 system. A 430W psu is more than sufficient.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
