So Chrismas is coming. It will be upgrade time. I would like to upgrade my CPU (I5 4430), PSU (Old seagate 500W) and preferably a GPU (GTX 750 Ti). I want a PSU that offers good upgradeability for example SLI or Crossfire. I would like a K-series proccessor that offers good overclocking as I think it's quite fun to overclock. The GPU can be upgraded later. I don't play Triple-A titels like Far Cry 4 etc. I play War Thunder, World of Tanks, Rocket League and PayDay 2. I was thinking about the 4690K and a 750-850W Evga PSU And later a G1 Gaming GTX 960 so I could add one for SLI in like a year. My budget is 300-600 USD Depending on how much money I manage to work up. Options in all priceranges are helpful.

Thanks in advance :D

If youre a gamer upgrade that GPU first, also before you upgrade to a K CPU make sure your MOBO supports OC'ing. But yeah, I would put my money towards a new PSU and GPU first (depending on which PSU you have atm) Get a 970/390 and a new PSU and then save up more money for a new CPU (and dont upgrade from a 4430 to a 4690K, get atleast a 4790K.

1: Upgrade PSU and GPU (GPU I would recommend either a 970 or 390

2: Then wait untill you have enough money to get a 4790K

Upgrading to a 4690k from a 4430 isn't going to give you much of an increase. Also, do you have a z87 or z97 motherboard?

I'd recommend an r9 390 or a 970 instead of upgrading your cpu. But otherwise the upgrade looks good

100%

Your CPU is just fine for gaming. Your GPU on the ither hand, as it is decent for med tier 1080p gaming, a R9 380/390 will make a much bigger performance increase.

As for the PSU, get a 850w EVGA GS or G2 and possibly GQ, any SeaSonic or XFX

Agree with this 100%. Yes overclocking is fun but so is maxing performance per dollar spent. You wont see any performance gains by upgrading your cpu with your current gpu.

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

The performance increase from a 4430 - 4690k is not worth it

R9 390 is the obvious choice, same price, more vram and slightly better perfrormance in games. Upgrade your gpu first, then psu and in the not soonish future upgrade your cpu, it's still good unless your doing heavy editing/work

500w is fine for a 390, at full load a system with a 390 pulls around 350w from the wall.

It's about the connections. And I think i'll be getting the gtx 970 since i can overclock that card a bit more

Your choice, the scaling is not the same so that overclock is deceptive. You get much more per MHz overclocked with the 390. Also check the different brands for connections. The Nitro uses two 8 pin connectors but others use less.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
