iirc the FX series has NO graphics processor so i'm not sure you could run a PC with JUST that,

 

you'd need to either add a dedicated graphics card (like the build above) or go with an AMD APU.

Dont put an AMD processor Into a gaming rig.... If you can afford to, go Intel...

At his budget he can't stretch to a 4460. The 6300 is better than any of the i3 so its a good option

You get a better build if you expand your list of retailers a bit.

 

Whether you go FX or Athlon, the single core performance is almost the same... the 860K being a bit faster.  Since the 860K is much cheaper, when the time to upgrade the CPU/motherboard comes around, you are only losing that $110 (CPU + mobo) instead of the $150 for a FX (CPU + mobo)... and that money saved means you have a better GPU.
