i got a bnew G.Skills 4gb x 2 2133

Installed it in my Asus A58M-E Board. I checked my bios and i saw that my ram speed is only 1866. i tried to set the speed to 2133 (which is the speed of my ram) after saving and restart, OC failed is displayed on my monitor. I turned back the ram speed to 1866 and my pc boots fine again.

What should i do to maximize my ram? i checked my Motherboard's website and it is capable of 2133 or even 2400 speed.

Need some help here, newbie in this things. Thanks!

It might be that it runs at too high a voltage for your MOBO.

Manually put in ram timings and voltage, should be on the side of the sticks of ram and see if it boots and is stable.

In the case it doesn't boot or is unstable at the higher 2133 then you can try running 1866 and if you want play around tightening your timings or you can try to do the 2133 with looser timings or with stock 2133 settings slightly up the voltage and see if it boots and is stable with the extra voltage.
