GTX 970 or 960?

From my research people said that I should get the 970 because in the future the 960 has less memory so it will become obsolete in a few years, but the 970 has more so it would be better? I mostly play CS:GO Battlefield, cod, etc. so what do you guys think will be the best choice?

970 if you want its features

390 gives more preformance but dosen't have geforce experience 

also has 8 gigs of vram if your thinking about "futureproofing"

The 390 Seems to be very popular in the forums. I'm gonna buy one

Yeah, I'm a pretty die hard team green fan, but I can't deny the better price to performance of the 390. It performs better, and I think you can usually get one cheaper than a 970. Don't get me wrong, the 970 is a fantastic card, I run one, but the 390 is better.
