i recently got two 4gb 770s, and they have been running great, and i have tested them on their own and seen that they are running perfectly

however when i put them into an SLI configuration, only one of the cards runs to any extent, it does a good job and basically maxes out BF3 on triple 1080p monitors, but the other is cold and even if i fire up MSI Kombustor the usage stays at 2% while the other is at 99% load

any suggestions?

If you havent restarted your system you shuold. I did what you did, a simple restart got SLI working after putting the settings on.

nope, it has no effect, aside from maybe making the second run a little less

If it maxes out bf3woth one then there is no need for sli and it turned itself off, and afterburner show that no matter what with sli. And have you check if you have sli enabled ? Sometimes it disables it when you driver update
