So I've recently completed my girlfriends build, which is also my travel build and I thought you guys would be interested in seeing it-

Storage: Western Digital WD Blue 320GB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive  (Purchased For $5.00)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GT 640 2GB Video Card  (Purchased For $40.00)
Case: Xion XON-310_BK MicroATX Mid Tower Case  (Purchased For $23.00)
Other: 2x2GB DDR2 800Mhz Hynix (Purchased For $10.00)
Other: Intel Stock Cooler (Purchased For $5.00)
Other: Antec Earthwatts 380W (Purchased For $8.00)
Total: $131.00

 

This was my first time ever buying used and it went perfectly, I could not be more pleased with this system :)

Yeah, it's the cheapest case I've ever bought and I absolutely love the thing.

lol, im about to pick up a decent hp pc for 20$ that has decent specs, wondering if i should keep it and do something similar

its not tooo great but its decent for 20$   

athlon ii x2 220, 4 gb ddr3, 1 tb 7200rpm drive, 250watt psu, some trashy mobo, and integrated radeon whatever gpu in the mobo

It's a dual core at 2.8GHz with 4GB's of RAM and a 1TB HDD? That's a pretty good deal. I'd replace the PSU and pick up a GPU.

It's a dual core at 2.8GHz with 4GB's of RAM and a 1TB HDD? That's a pretty good deal. I'd replace the PSU and pick up a GPU.

ya, its loaded with viruses so he wants to get rid of it, so fresh install of windows and it should be fine, oh and its running windows 7 so i can either do windows 7 or 10

 

and i might sell it, and use the money to make a better one, not sure yet this is the second pc ill be doing this too :P got the money for this pc by getting a pc with a failed hdd for 15$ throwing in a spare one and selling it for 60$ xD

LOVE IT :D

 

Noticed that ram does not look like it is completely locked in but other than that sweet!

 

Also have that same case and love it for what I payed, has a Q6600 system also with a GT 630 in it right now along with a sleeper :P Got to love them Intel boards :)

Hey guys I recently upgraded to a GTX 760 without changing the price at all! I traded the GT 640 to a friend and go the 760 :)
