Help with CoD

I tried to find the actual timeline of call of duty games (the correct order of timeline in the games) but all I could find is the release order. Can anyone help me with the actual order of the happenings in the games?

Edit: planning to play all of them in the same exact order (does ghost come in the actual timeline too?)

CoD 1 -> CoD 2 -> CoD WaW? -> CoD 3 -> CoD BlOps -> CoD BO2 (1980s storyline) -> CoD 4 -> CoD MW2 -> CoD MW3 -> CoD BO2 (2025) -> Ghosts -> AW -> BO3

 

Only the subseries (MW and BO) connect. AW isn't established and no one knows about Ghosts or anything before 3.

It's its own separate entity.
