So today I upgraded from an Asus GTX 760 to a EGVA GTX 970 SSC and was wondering what to do with my old card. I have a few ideas but am still not sure what to do. First i would probably put it in one of my servers for a render server of some kind. Second, I could use it to drive my second display to take load of my main GPU. Third, I could use it as a PhysX card. I don't know if you still benefit from physX cards now a days but that's why I thought I would ask.

Thanks,

I wouldnt use it for your second screen. It really changes nothing. Maby Maby 1 fps. Not even worth the power the card uses.

You could use it for physx. But not that many games use it, so check if you play that games. It may be worth it. Just try.

You could wait for DX12, it may be possible to use the power of the card in games. But that will take a while.

Render server i got no idea about.
