Hi there ! I'm looking into building a gaming pc rig capable of handling games such as fallout 4/GTA 5/Witcher 3 at max settings and a decent FPS. I do however have a build in mind but would like everyone to guide me through the components and about whether or not am i making the right decisions in terms of best bang for the buck.

Do note that i'm still considering whether to get i7-4790k (MSI z97a gaming 9 ack) or the i7-6700k (MSI z170a gaming m9 ack). I'm willing to wait till the price for the m9 to go down however, both has it ups and downs sides. The i7-4790k only supports DDR3 ram while the i7-6700k supports DDR4 ram, and in terms of price, the i7-4790k (Set of mobo and ram) would be much cheaper. Therefore i humbly asks for your opinion on getting the i7-6700k set or the i7-4790k set...

Here are my list of components that i have in mind:

CPU : Intel i5-6600k

MotherBoard : MSI z170a gaming m7

GPU : MSI R9 380 4GB

Heatsink : Corsair H100i Liquid Cooling

PSU : Corsair RM650 Gold Certified

SSD : Samsung 850 pro 512 GB

Casing : CoolerMaster Pro 5

would like to request for help from the people of this forum to teach and guide me through all of this D: this is my first time building a custom PC and are not sure whether or not these would fit nicely together... also ... if i could reduce any of the components mention ( in terms of cost ) without having significant difference in the FPS when i play the above mentioned games... please suggest it to me ! Thank you !!!

1. Budget & Location : $2000 SGD / SINGAPORE

2. Aim : Around a High end gaming tier
3. Monitors : 1
4. Peripherals : Just a keyboard and maybe a OS will do
5.Why are you upgrading? : recently gotten a 1 gbps wifi but my laptop could only handle the speed of up to 90+mbps therefore im looking into building my very own first PC

P.S. I'm just a 16 y/o looking into learning how to build a pc, even though i've done shit tons of research, some stuff are still confusing to me .-. the installation of the pc should be easy just the boot up/installation of os/ stress test and OC are kinda confusing ... please advice where possible ! Thank you again !

All 3 of those posts could've been compressed into one.

Yes i know, I should start doing that but i forget to put things into one (Like i will ask whats your budget then after i posted it i saw he was a new member and stuff like that) Editing my posts for some reason takes forever so i dont bother sometimes

Ops , Sorry !!! however do you suggest the i7-4790k or the i7-6700k ??? My price budget is around $2000 SGD which is around $1400+ USD

i5-6600k, you don't need an i7 for gaming. A 390 is equal to or better than than a 970 and is cheaper and has more VRAM. The RM series PSUs from Corsair aren't the best for the price, choose something from Tier 1 in this list that fits your budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/406160-psu-ranking-and-tiers/

hmm alright thanks ! Right now these would be my new list of components, however i already bought the Corsair RM 650 Gold at a reasonably low price so that would be fixed.

Intel i5-6600k

MSI z170a gaming m7/m9 ack

MSI R9 380 4GB

Corsair H100i

Corsair RM650 Gold

Samsung 850 pro 512 GB

CM Pro 5

Is there anything that should be changed hmmm
