Need advice for audio setup.

So, I recently got my father's QC-15 Bose headphones, and have been noticing some unwanted audio interference, in the form of static, or clicking (Especially with running demanding games on my Hard drive). Are there any peripherals such as specific DAC's or Sound Cards that cost between 50-100 dollars that will help get rid of this unwanted noise?
(Note I have an 8x slot available for a sound card and I am not planning on running SLI). Thanks :D

PC Spec List:

Asus-A Z97 MB

1TB Western Digital Harddrive

Asus Gtx 970 Strix

i5-4690K

Samsung 850 246G SSD

EVGA 1866 2x 4G sticks

Corsair CX series 600W PS

Get an external DAC, this will most definitely solve that distortion problem
